Project: Ensuite bathroom renovation
This bathroom’s large tub and even bigger tub deck ate up far too much real estate and wasn't being used enough. It had a single sink, a small shower, and virtually no storage. The entire bathroom was redesigned to solve these problems. After removing the tub, we had enough room for a large 7’ x 3.5’ walk in shower, a 6’ double sink vanity, and a big 30” x 96” pantry for storage. And the room still looks big.
The vanity, mirror frame and pantry were done in a high gloss grey acrylic door panel to contrast the 24” x 24” white and grey vein gloss tiles. The shower bench, skirt, curb, and shampoo niche were done with Caesarstone Raven quartz, which is the perfect compliment to the grey shower tiles. The vanity counter was done with Caesarstone Pure White quartz, which really stood out beautifully against the grey vanity material. This bathroom incorporated all the premium finishings: Italian fixtures, heated floors and a clean, modern linear drain. Using the linear drain allowed us to use large format tile on the shower floor.
Cool fact: Instead of closing up the window in the shower, we kept it, waterproofed around it, and installed Ceasarstone quartz around the jambs to keep it dry.
